Home Care Aide Fee

The Department of Health has filed a CR-103, permanent rule, for WACs 246-803-990, 246-809-990, 246-810-990, 246-815-990, 246-817-990, 246-817-99005, 246-828-990, 246-845-990, 246-915-990, 246-915-99005, 246-930-990, and 246-980-990.

Home care aides are increasing $15 to $100 for both the initial application and renewals. The new amounts will apply to credentials that are due on or after June 1, 2023. The permanent rules adjust fee amounts for the following professions:

• Acupuncturist or acupuncture and Eastern Medicine Practitioner
• Licensed mental health counselor
• Licensed advanced social worker and licensed independent clinical social worker
• Certified counselor, Certified adviser, and Registered agency affiliated counselor
• Dental hygienist
• Dentist
• Registered dental assistant
• Certified dental anesthesia assistant
• Licensed expanded function dental auxiliary
• Audiologist
• Speech-Language pathologist and Speech-Language pathology assistant
• Hearing aid specialist
• Nursing pool operator
• Physical therapist and Physical therapist assistant
• Sex offender treatment provider and Affiliate treatment provider certificate
• Home care aide

The adopted changes will more closely align revenue with expenses of each profession, while enabling reserves to be maintained should unanticipated events occur. The amended fee rules also update terms and adjust citations to create consistency among the healthcare professions.

Effective June 1, 2023 are the fee changes to WACs 246-803-990, 246-809-990, 246-810-990, 246-815-990, 246-817-990, 246-817-99005, 246-828-990, 246-845-990, 246-915-990, 246-915-99005, 246-930-990, and 246-980-990.
